Bonjour! I’m Matt Mick, and I started Rouler Bike Tours with a couple of ideas:

• Being on a bicycle changes the way we encounter the world.

• Louisiana – and Lafayette especially – is beautiful, complex, and deserves to be appreciated.

 

For over 17 years, I’ve biked in and around Lafayette for fun, fitness, and transportation. All the while, I’ve studied, taught, promoted, and participated in Louisiana’s French language and the remarkable cultures that surround it. Whether it’s behind the handlebars or around a French table, these have been exceptional ways to experience our community and its surprising connections to the rest of the world. Je suis bien chanceux! (I’ve been very fortunate!)

 

Around 2024, I started to wonder if there might be a way to share the things I love about my adopted hometown and experiencing it on a bike. After a little bit of thinking and a lot of time on the bike, voilà : Rouler Bike Tours. It'd be a pleasure to go for a ride together.
